started lessons for our 5 year old and the books seem age appropriate and well thought out. We are happy with the purchase!Must have if your little one is learning piano. I've never played piano in my life but I was willing to spend the time to help my daughter learn piano. Knowing that private lessons were too expensive for us, I decided on these lesson books to get her started. She's one month into it and she absolutely loves it. I'm sure once she gets too advanced she will benefit with an additional private lesson here and there but for now, she's going through these lessons and learning so much.This is a required book used by my 4-year old's piano music school. She has used this book as a 3.5 - 4-year old and her teacher has used it almost exclusively to guide her (and as the basis for which she practices). The songs, instructions, and illustrations are simple and easy to follow. As a parent who does not play the piano but has to help my daughter practice, this book is instructive as well!5 stars for product, 1 star for advertising. Very misleading.
