This is a FANTASTIC devotional for older kids. There is one lesson for each book of the Bible. They choose one story or passage, and you open up Scripture to read it, then return to the book. They then talk about what it means and how to apply it to your life. My favorite thing about it is the ways that it constantly mentions the need for Christ. My almost-10 year old has not yet accepted Christ, and this book is so good for him. It's not urging you to do it, like saying "You need to pray the prayer. You need to do this now." It gently reminds them in different ways almost each day how Christ is the only way to Heaven and He is the only One who saves.In addition to all of this, it also has a "Memory Verse" for each book of the Bible, "Key Points" to remember from what you've read, and a photo and description of something historical related to that passage.I highly recommend this for older kids (maybe about 8 and up) because a lot of the language is just more geared toward those who understand more already.
