The Brisbane Lions have finally tasted Premiership glory again, winning the 2024 Toyota AFL Grand Final defeating the Sydney Swans.
After the heartbreak of 2023, the Lions were back for revenge in 2024. A fifth-place finish meant Brisbane had to pull off a perfect finals campaign, which began with a fierce performance against Carlton in an Elimination Final. This win set them up for a tantalising clash with the GWS GIANTS in a Semi Final in Sydney. The Lions pulled off an incredible 44-point comeback late in the game and got over the line to book in a performance against the Geelong Cats in a Preliminary Final at the MCG. An impressive display of football against the Cats secured Brisbane an historic spot in the Grand Final against Sydney on the last Saturday in September. The seats of the MCG were filled with a sea of Maroon, Blue & Gold to witness Chris Fagan’s squad demonstrate their exceptional premiership prowess. The Lions have won the 2024 Toyota AFL Grand Final and will showcase their 4th Premiership Cup with PRIDE!
