With the help of this compassionate yet honest resource, we can better understand our personal life situation and make the most of the time with our medical care team.Ironically, despite growing attention to women's health issues and our lengthened life expectancy, it has been hard to sort out the sound bites and sometimes conflicting pieces of information we receive through the media and other sources about our health. Even for those of us in the medical field, facts and opinions having been coming at such a rapid pace as to make understanding difficult. Leaving no stone unturned, Dr. Edelman discusses issues from the most routine like sleep and sexuality to the more controversial like hormone replacement and the sometimes overgeneralized Women's Health Initiative Study to help us better understand our minds and bodies. She approaches these topics from a perspective of respect and caring that I found both refreshing and supportive. I highly recommend this excellent book.
