It is a very nice book and very informative about the breed and standards.. It even lists all breeders in the US/UK and around the world and how they started their kennels/history of each kennel mentioned; maybe 200 or more pages about kennels in the US. A little too much information I guess about kennels. It even goes further to talk about kennels/breeding programs in Zimbabwe; so it goes from A-Z. The book explains in detail breed standards in US, UK, and Germany. It is a good book filled with a lot of useful information about the breed. The book is huge too and twice the size as your average breed books in Petsmart. I bought two books about rottweilers to get more information about training our pup; compared to the critically acclaimed "The Ultimate Rottweiler" by Andrew H Brace this book is the better of the two in my opinion. This book has more in depth detail in between the two. Both books have almost the same information. I only gave it 3 stars as the book didn't give me the information I really needed. The training and obedience section was what I felt was most important was not up to par in my standards; maybe a book for breeders but not for the average family pet as I have. For everything else + more about the breed this is probably the best book out there.Great information and reading. This book is coffee table quality and sits right there! I have gone back to it a million times for historical information and pedigree research. The many, many pictures give it a life of it's own! An outstanding book. Two thumbs WAY UP! :o)
